Speedrun Mode & Auto Speed Guide
Speed Monkey Escape Speedrun Mode and Auto Speed guide from the July 11 2026 update. Time-trial routing, toggles, and tips for every stage.
What Is Speedrun Mode?
Speedrun Mode arrived in the July 11, 2026 Speedrun + Admin Abuse update for Speed Monkey Escape (+1 Speed Keyboard Escape | Candy & Chocolate by SecretVerse Studio). It is a permanent racing / time-trial layer on top of the normal stage loop: you push optimized routes, compare clear times, and practice high-speed lines without waiting for the next Saturday event.
Unlike one-off Admin Abuse buffs, Speedrun Mode stays in the game after the event weekend. Pair it with the new Auto Speed toggle, the Daily Treadmill, and your best Trail stack so practice sessions actually convert into Wins and rebirth progress.
Auto Speed Toggle
Auto Speed is a quality-of-life control introduced alongside Speedrun Mode. When enabled, the game assists continuous speed generation so you spend less time micromanaging treadmill pacing between runs. It does not replace skill on precision stages like Stage 12 Sugar Rush or World 2 chaser routes — you still need high-speed control for jumps and maze turns.
- Turn Auto Speed on while rebuilding Speed after a Rebirth.
- Turn it off (or stay focused) on narrow bridges and maze segments where overspeed kills runs.
- Combine Auto Speed with AFK time on Chocolate or Daily Treadmill before Speedrun practice.
How to Use Speedrun Mode Efficiently
- Confirm your Speed meets the stage gate via the Stage Speed Checker.
- Equip your best Trail / Aura stack (Choco Trail or Rainbow Trail for F2P).
- Enable Speedrun Mode from the in-game mode / challenge UI after the July update.
- Run optimized side routes and corner cuts shown in the video above — many stages reward hugging edges instead of center lanes.
- Bank Wins after clean clears; push Stages 14–17 only when Level / Speed requirements are honest.
Stage Routing Notes
World 1 stages 1–13 still follow the candy keyboard layout, but Speedrun Mode rewards memorized shortcuts: side rails on early stages, R-R-R-L maze discipline on Stage 12, and bounce timing on World 2 Stage 1 (Level 140+). World 2 Stages 14–17 demand Level 140 / 160 / 180 / 200+ respectively — see the dedicated Stages 14–17 walkthrough.
If you are grinding Wins for trails instead of chasing PBs, stay on Sugar Rush loops with Wins farming and only open Speedrun Mode when you want cleaner muscle memory.
Velocity Trail & July Rewards
The same July update wave added a new Robux Velocity Trail aimed at mid-to-late acceleration. Compare it against Galaxy / Choco on our Trails Tier List before spending. Free players should prioritize Daily Treadmill + social codes + rebirth stacking over Robux trails.

Frequently Asked Questions
When was Speedrun Mode added to Speed Monkey Escape?
Speedrun Mode and Auto Speed launched with the July 11, 2026 Speedrun + Admin Abuse update and remain permanent features.
Does Auto Speed clear hard stages for me?
No. Auto Speed helps maintain speed generation. Maze routes, chasers, and precision jumps still require manual control and practice.
Should I use Speedrun Mode before World 2?
Yes for practice. Meet Level 140+ before serious World 2 Speedrun attempts, and use Stage Speed Checker to avoid death loops.
What Trail is best for Speedrun Mode?
Choco Trail (20x) is the best overall. F2P players should use Rainbow Trail (5x) or Galaxy Trail and stack rebirth multipliers.
Does Speedrun Mode replace Admin Abuse?
No. Speedrun Mode is always available for practice. Admin Abuse still provides the best limited-time multipliers every Saturday.
